How do I customise a backpack for my child, and how long will it take?
The process of creating a personalised backpack for your child with Fresh Honey is super simple and will only take a few minutes (unless you would like to make an activity out of it with your child, in which case, take as much time as you would like!).
First, you will need to navigate to our Customise It tool.
Next, you will be able to choose the perfect style and colouring to suit your child’s personality!
Now, simply drag the letters and icons you would like to add to the design to make it their very own! Once the letters you have chosen are placed on the bag, you will be given the option to choose the colours you would like them to be. Having trouble? Email us customercare@freshhoney.co
Please note that our patches need a 3cm border around them to enable us to sew them on.
If you have any issues with this process, feel free to reach out to our customer care team at customercare@freshhoney.co and be sure to attach a screenshot of the issue you are facing!
Once we receive your order, we will sew the letters and icons you have chosen into place. We will do this as close to your specifications as possible; however, sometimes we might have to change the positioning slightly to make the design look the best it possibly can!
It can take up to two weeks for us to have your bag ready to send to you due to the fact that all personalised bags are hand sewed by our expert sewing team in-house. If we run into any issues with the placement of your letters, we will reach out to you via the email address you provide us at check out, so be sure to check it regularly!
Once we have finished your personalised kid’s backpack, we will ship it out to you, and Australian orders will arrive within 10 business days!

Are your kids’ backpacks suitable for school?
If you choose, you can let your child take their backpack to school or even daycare. They are quite spacious and have room for books, lunch bags and more! You can also add bag tags to them to ensure their teachers and friends know which one is theirs (if it doesn’t have their name on the front).
Something you might need to think about if your child is taking their personalised backpack to school is the colour of the bag. Some schools might have issues with colourful designs if they have a strict uniform policy.
Am I able to return a personalised backpack I designed for my child?
Due to the fact that the personalised kids' backpacks are just that - personalised - we are unable to take them back if you change your mind. This is why it is really important to choose your design carefully! Make sure you take some time to choose the colours and place the letters so that your child loves their personalised backpack and you won’t need to return it!
How much is shipping on the personalised kids’ backpacks?
We can ship your child’s personalised backpack Australia-wide and even internationally! We use Australia Post and which generally takes between 3 and 8 days to be delivered for normal delivery and 1 and 3 days for express shipping. The shipping rates are as follows:
- AUD $10 for delivery on orders within Australia
- AUD $40 for delivery on international orders
- AUD $15 express delivery available within Australia - note that personalised backpacks will be sent once they have been customised
